Winter Woods Poem by Sylvia Star

Winter Woods

Rating: 4.8

Into the hushed winter woods
I silently steal.
A sacred sanctuary of stillness
And stark, white beauty.

There is no quiet so deep
So profoundly still
As this bare, brown world of branches
In it's blanket of pure snow.

Insightful depiction of the beauty and serenity of winter woods, well articulated and nicely penned in poetic diction with conviction. A lovely poem indeed. Thanks for sharing Sylvia. Please read my poem COLOSSAL MISCARRIAGE OF JUSTICE.

Wonderful imagery...I can feel myself standing in those woods. A great poem.
