You have gone through the stages on the planet
Seen the good, the bad, and the ugly
Fought battles
Seen days of victory
And days of failure
Wisdom is embedded in you
For you have spent too long on the planet
not to know the difference
white hairs you deserve respect
For you have come through too much to be taken for granted.
Your children ought to stand up in respect
For you have walked the path their feet has not treaded
you have seen the storms and the wind
But can still smile at the charming sun and the clattering rain
White hairs your colour speaks of wisdom
We will hold you in the treasured place of our heart.

An insightful depiction of the sagacity that comes through ageing, well articulated and nicely penned with conviction. A lovely poem elegantly brought forth. Thanks for sharing.
