With Magnetism Without Resistance Poem by Gert Strydom

With Magnetism Without Resistance

(in answer to Steve Hofmyer)
1
When I travel to you with the N1,
John Legend sings about his beautiful wife
that brings to me how beautiful you are,
with tranquillity that the savannas bring,

where it goes to heart that you are the one;
the flooding Vaal River has meaning,
this journey of mine in the summer is an experience
and connected by a mobile phone I still feel lonely

but between us there is no resistance
when after all these years we do meet,
as a man and a exceptional woman
by heart, spirit, soul, flesh, humanity and mind
you do enchant and leave me still speechless,
it is much better than the memories.

2
My principles and promises I will keep,
remain knowing that you are truly beautiful,
I notice you at the window as I drive in at your house,
where you are my first and to be my last wife,
one I cannot forget
and when I knock on the closed door you come.

3
Your steps as you come closer is measured in megawatt,
when you draw me near and take my hand,

it's more beautiful that you look when I see you again,
there is sunshine in each glance,

you look like the most beautiful, among women,
to meet me you are full of joy and very happy,

you open the door wide,
walk right up to me,

with magnetism do draw me,
with arms around my neck you do embrace me.
