With Pride Poem by Scarborough Gypsy

With Pride

Rating: 5.0

The difference between you and I
Is I can hold my head up high
In front of people when we meet
So don’t expect a friendly greet

For from that I shall be excused
As we all know that you abused
Trust & friendship – You crossed the line
By meddling with what is mine
And setting fire to loyalty
Behaving so abominably
To people who deserve much more
In my eyes you are just a hoar

I realise he is not guilt free
You both acted abysmally
But I’m prepared to make him see
That he is everything to me

I could have gone the other way
Chose to go and not to stay
But tomorrow is another day
And I will fight come what may
For my marriage, for my man
Together we have made a plan
And I’ll not falter in my promise
To love and cherish and be honest

So with dignity and with pride
I continue life’s sweet ride
Content in knowing I rose above
And walking tall with pride – for love

Thank you all for your kind comments. Unfortunately, I can't see any of them under the poem. Very odd.
