Woes Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Woes

You are thirsty but you can't drink water,
You are hungry but you can't eat food,
Of the horses prepared for the battle!
Like Apollyon, the angel of the bottomless pit.

One woe is past but behold!
There are two more woes after this;
Like the torment of a scorpion when it strikes.
You are thirsty but you can't drink water,
You are hungry but you can't eat food,
And life is all about us on this earth.
