Wondering Lately Poem by Ray Hansell

So much has happened lately
In a short amount of time
Wondering if the light of happiness
Will ever, again shine

It just seems like tragedy
Is the order of the day
It seems that so many people
Are hurting in so many ways

I have several close friends
Who are dealing with misfortune
Believe me when I say
The facts are not a distortion

For now I offer them my prayers
For them and their family
Hoping sometime very soon
A light of hope they'll get to see

Bad things happen to good people
I've heard that said many times
But why does it seem so many people
Often have an uphill climb?
