Words - Poem by Leslie Ching

Energy
Creativity
Desire
Muted;
No words to describe-
Exuberance
With nothing to pour it into
Longing
Beyond any imaginable
To speak;
Words
That enchant,
Bewitch,
Ensnarl
All who listen
Stealing the heart
Captivating the mind
Words
That they speak
With such confidence
Smooth,
Perfect,
Flawless
Words
That wither on her tongue
Die on her lips
Stammered,
Forced,
Unnatural
Words
She knows
She will never conquer

    Words are magic. If used positively, they have power to conquer...
