Words Of A True Friend - Poem by julie jeansonne

Lying on the thin bed staring at the ceiling
not qite understanding all your new feelings
Life gives you a quick break to have a sweet taste
Too suddenly it is taken to be thrown to waste

A strong sense of hopefulness lays deep within
Waiting for the day to start without sins
A voice with a smile comes through the air
Reaching out to show how much they care

Be happy, be secure, be strong
It will make it seem not that long
When the time has met the end
I'll be there, still your friend.
