'standing on the shoulders of giants'
Though we are a small group of islands
we are standing on the shoulders of giants
between the Statue of liberty and the stature
of Simon Bolivar we are in compliance
we are on the roadmap
for all tourists to cross
our culture of carnival and calypso
aspires everyone to come across
we practice no warfare nor are there any large army
that the world can fight
our multicultural nations come together
to share the same light
born out of slavery and indentureship
our ancestors paved the way
that we can rise above every challenge
and to clear our own pathway
we have a dream to innovate
and to visualize the limits of climate change
with humility we share a common vision
with the giants that we exchange
when we put democracy first
together we can touch the sky
the lamp of unity
brings a garland of faith
that guides us to fly
the company of the ants
teaches us not to fall into temptation
but to be brave
the world is no longer divide
and there exists no more slave
we have become leaders ourselves
to govern where once giants rule
the nation we wish to create
for the future will be born
with the knowledge
we share in the school.
