Worry Poem by Paul Sebastian

Worry

Worry, like rocking chair
Rocks dull thoughts to and fro
Getting you nowhere
Avails no solution to the fore

Thinking of things that are barren
Into dark shadows of troubles, sinking
Over-thinking, adds negative burden
Fear and anxiety come fast mounting

In problem-solving, work on possibility
Sometimes there would be no answer
Fret not or unfairly doubt your ability
It is then, you take it to God in prayer

Paul, this poem would be a lot better if you stopped forcing rhymes which result in clumsy lines (avails no solution to the fore) . Maybe stop writing for a while and immerse yourself in some good contemporary poetry? If you have time, check out my new website: jeffersoncarterverse.com Tell me how you like it. Yrs, JC
