Worthwhile Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Worthwhile

Rating: 5.0

Desires must be entertained and come
Ambition is praiseworthy and welcome
Main without aim is called animal
No joy of getting it on arrival

We are human being
Always want more or seeking
There is no end for desire
It is retained till person retires

What makes person to seek more?
This area is to be explored
What makes person to feel jealous?
Yes it is nothing but human weakness

If neighbor is rich
We also desperately try to reach
Same status despite known handicaps
And go deep further in traps

Why poor people leave happily?
They have no reason to live unhappily
If today they do not have
Tomorrow may also be same to behave

Yes more you run after worldly desires
You may only be subjected to satire
People may call you miser
And you will always be short sympathizers

Yes try to seek what is possible
Maintain dignity and decorum, with struggle
You may have less but worthwhile
That shall always bear you lovely smile
