Write Me A Letter - Poem by David Harris

Write me a letter
and send it with care
telling you still love me
and will always be there.

I’m across an ocean somewhere
and the days seem so long.
I wait for each sunrise
and dream of our home.

Write me a letter
so that I can be
that little bit closer
to your loving arms and thee.

They say it won’t be long now
until we’ll becoming home.
So write me a letter
telling me you’ll still be waiting there.
