Writing Between The Lines Poem by Midnight Clarity

Writing Between The Lines

Rating: 5.0

I do not do that
fit slanted missives
in between my words
aimed at one or two
epiphany for you
light bulb idea to make all clear.
I spill my raw and bleeding soul
on screens across the world
building chaos from the chaos in my head
escape valve, steam escapes
and I do not explode
implode with thoughts too weighty
too contain while still incarnate
Spirit sings around the edges of my world,
enticing me to loose the bonds and fly
while steel pan calls me back to this sweet earth
to salt fish and cou cou - with butter sauce
a dance, a meal to chain me here in life
to keep me breathing
knowing that I carry all my future
in my lungs, my bones.
I do not fear Death
but I see his face,
a beauty unsurpassed
from the corner of my eye
my final lover waiting in the wings
and I would follow him
if I did not have so much
I want to do!
