young child writing a story
future time already a poem
at this time I could not spell
I could not spell well a few words
dyslexic no one astute enough yet
to tell a future female teacher will
time brand stupid treat malicious
predict menial dark future criminal
in her classroom of girls privileged
in her classroom of slow boys humiliated
in her classroom of slow boys isolated
in her classroom of slow boys attacked
attacked humiliated tormented daily demeaned
dehumanized a few slow boys never recovered
years decades before a few others recovered
or started recovery process time pain delayed
a nasty teacher can classroom create pain
a world of resident evil inflicted on a student
with snide mocking derogatory remarks inflicted
ill treating students then normal none convicted
on earth exists no court where past student is vindicated

Maybe poetry can be a tribunal where a mistreated, misunderstood youth is vindicated. Maybe poetry reaches a vantage point not limited to this earth.
