Arm me with the jonquil sword of kindness
through the clinging snows unmelted
The fierceness of it the fragility
The folk tale where the sun outlasts the wind
Its golden spears
Rain down butternut wonders from the trees
Golden effulgencies
The hoard of warmth hidden for emergencies
In the Mind of God.
The beautiful hearth of legend.
Where the moon burns to ash.
That formerly silver creatures may forage.
