In the middle of the night
there was some noise
though very slight
my hair stood
on end with fright
who it was
that was my plight.


all alone stark naked
as I lay aright
it was in the middle
of last night

all alone
i was all by myself
on the wild plateau
starkness clouded the sight

'twas like being in the desert
then the window opened
i shouted with my entire mite
but silence broke through
as there was no delight
my dream was buried
in the middle of the eerie nite
