Yesterday's Passing Love Song Poem by Peter S. Quinn

Yesterday's Passing Love Song

You are my yesterday's passing love song
With every rhythm that feels parting on
Flowers of the past that now there belong
Where feelings are like rivers never done
Every rainbow coming is from you
With the raindrops from cloudy sky that smooths
Its pure mirror images to renew
The perpetuity of every youth

Give or take the hourly that goes on by
Minutes waking wishes not to be
Everything in its lonely way
What you can imagine from the clear sky
Something further than the eyes can see
When new dawn comes bringing you the day
