Yet Another Day! Poem by Ashika Murali Acharya

Yet Another Day!

Rating: 5.0

Whatdo I write in a new day ode,
That which has never been told before?
Another day comes when the old one pass,
Yes, wedream we know we dream,
We weave dreams all day long,
We rise up smiling with the light every morn,
We lie down weeping with the dark of the night.
We try hugging the world until it stings,
We curse it at times and sigh for a wing,
To fly a far from a slaveful birth,
We live, we love, we woo, we wed,
We laugh, we weep, we hope, we fear,
We veil our brides and sheet our dead,
And here comes the burden of yet another day,
So much like the day that went by,
It is only another night from old to new;
Only a sleep from night to morn
May be it holds a hope unknown,
May be another fresh new thought,
Kept to be woven in the new dawn
May be a grace would hold us through,
As each sunrise would see a toddler,
Who gets upto walk again after each fall.
