Looking back on you and me
We were never meant to be
You always had an excuse
While I took all of your abuse
You said things that weren’t really true
I wonder why I even loved you

Was it your eyes?
As blue as the skies
Was it your hair?
With a style so rare
Was it how you made me feel?
It all seem so surreal

I fell hard back then
But that was then and this is now
I made a vow
Never to look back on you and me
For my sake and yours
I’ll hold true to my vow forever more
