You Are Mona Lisa Poem by Paul Sebastian

You Are Mona Lisa

Your eyes sit softly calm
Empathetic, kindly warm
Seem reaching to touch and listen
Weathered life, behind eyes’ curtain
Eager to give wholesome love
Spirit-sent from heaven above

Enveloping eyes arrest lover’s heart
Exposing motives of hearts, masked
Revealing heart that’s compassionate
Care giving to the poor and desperate
Your loving spirit ever pouring out
Your listening eyes care a lot

Your smile’s heart-warming
Inviting, if not, welcoming
Genuine friendship that lasts
Relationship that does not pass
Mysterious contented smile
Mona-Lisa-mystic in its profile

Smiling eyes mirroring soul’s beauty
Of thousand pearly beads in heart’s treasury
Savings of tears of pain, joy and laughter
To offer as happiness gifts to life-time lover
Love is offering the gift of oneself totally
Unmasking, being real, giving completely

The smiling face of Mona Lisa continues to enchant many even after so many years! Art lovers feel that her smile is enigmatic...! What do her eyes communicate....! They are warm and empathetic! Her face reflects her soul's beauty! A great write on a much discussed topic, but presented in a still alluring way! Enjoyed!
