You Are My Love Poem by Lora Colon

You Are My Love

Rating: 4.6

You are my love, guardian of my heart,
Providing your strength when I'm weak;
You are my voice when I cannot talk,
You're the words that I cannot speak

You are my love, my very breath,
You're the moon in my starless sky;
You're the reason God created love,
You're the reason I no longer cry

You are my love, you flow through my veins,
Crimson droplets of ice and fire;
You wake me from a restless sleep
To whisper in my ear your desire

You are my love, you're my inspiration,
You're the only song I want to sing;
You are a letter written to my heart,
You're my love, you're my everything

You are my love, you're my happiness,
Long ago, sorrow waved its farewell;
Words never falter on your eloquent tongue,
As all my anxieties you quell

You are my love, I'm content with my fate,
Pages written in the realms above;
And caressing your head like a silvery cloud,
I drink the moonlight....and it turns into love!
