You Are Not Alone Poem by Dhiren Doley

You Are Not Alone

Pain, tears and despair
You're ornamented with all these
Sometimes, an unwilling smile half-bloom
And droops before you realize it; à-la-mortal
Dust, odor and wreckages
These are among your acquaintances
Sometimes, you think of fleeing
And the rebellious belly traps you
Before you really make it
What is life? You are not given to realize
What is beauty? Buried in the cruelty of situation
What is childhood?
Robbed by brutality of the fellow human beings
What is hope? Distant stars; never reached
Many among us do not want to count you
Yet, o poor child, everything will be different
Wind of change is blowing; it will be your time now
You are not alone
I stand beside you and many will follow
I stretch my hands, can you catch my finger?
We will walk together, you are not alone
Hope and joy will flow in your breath
Smiles will be planted in your lips
And the pale eyes will turn blue
With your change and many children like you
The world will be a different place
A place livable; life meets fullness
Colors, songs, and sweetness
These will be spread all over the wind
Love, feelings and kisses
In all these we will forget ourselves

We will be different
The world will be different
Childhood will return to all of us

Full of colors…………………………..
