You Came Poem by Alicia Gail Lightsey

You Came

Rating: 5.0

I'm so grateful you came to save the lost
With your precious blood you paid the full cost
From Heaven son of a powerful king
You came, died on the cross, you gave everything
God sent you with Love by his own free will
And I want to say thank you Lord and share how I feel
You are amazingly wonderful through the storm and rain
You give me strength and comfort through hurt and pain
When alone and confused, abandoned and abused
Mistreated, disrespected, neglected and misused
When the world is dark and true friends hard to find
You grace me with love and the world becomes kind
When I put my trust in man they say "oh yes, I understand"
Deep within my soul I know man will leave me in sinking sand
When tears roll down my face-my heart heavily burdened
I can always count on you-you will be there for certain
Oh Lord, covered with the blood of Jesus, I have no fear
Like no other, your love is eternally sincere
When I felt like giving up, you wouldn't let me
You said you would protect me, would let no one hurt me
To save your lost and sinful children, you sent your holy son
We are more than conquerors-our battle already won
Our faith can move mountains-words calm stormy sea
Thank you Father for saving a sinner like me

Oh Lord, covered with the blood of Jesus, I have no fear Like no other, your love is eternally sincere When I felt like giving up, you wouldn't let me.... this is a tremendous expression of love of Jesus. i love Jesus more than my life.......... after studying the philosophy of Religions, Jesus is the one who portrays the love of the Almighty God and he is the only one whom i can follow......... A suffering God. is a great concept.
