You Demanded: 'Fire My Imagination...' - Poem by Midnight Clarity

and what will you give back?
how will you inspire
me to the heights
the breadth and depth
demanded by creation,
now by you?
my muse feeds me dreams
to conjure with
blows scented breath
across the spark
that shelters in the confines
of my heart.
spark jumps to flame
while flame becomes a fire
to light the world
from night till morning
igniting all the stars
embedded in the sky;
imagination
just an empty boat
with drooping sails
till air grows hot
and fills the sheets
and passion drives
the moment forward
giving shape to dreams.
