You didn’t see
the love in my eyes
and the hurt you caused
with your little lies.
You didn’t see
the breaking of my heart
every time you came home
and said we would have to part.
You didn’t see
what you were doing to me
as you spun your web of deceit
or how my life would ebb away
the minute you were gone.
You didn’t see
or didn’t want to see
how much you were hurting me.
How much love
you were willing just to toss away.
You didn’t see
until it was too late.
