You Feel A Bit Down Poem by Francis Duggan

You Feel A Bit Down

You feel a bit down of late for life on you is tough
But you may as well start smiling for life is short enough
The good times and the bad times we meet along life's way
And who knows that tomorrow it may be your lucky day
You find life a great battle you struggle for to cope
But like a wise one once said where there is life there's hope
Life is not all sunshine and roses as a wise one did say
Just for the privilege of living there is some price to pay
Lady luck is not with you that's how it does appear
But for you times will get better if you only persevere
Like the great champion boxer you rise up off the floor
To despair do not surrender you must fight on some more
The hard times you're experiencing on them have a use by date
And like 'tis said all good things come to those who wait.
