You Left Me Here Poem by Katie Bradley

You left me here, looking back to a place I’ve already been
Losing sleep over wondering the next time I’d see you again.
I always remember the last day when we said our “Good- byes”
Knowing how much I’d miss you, tears started flowing from my eyes.
I gave you one last hug that would mean so very much
Driving away I knew it was my heart that you had touched.
No day had gone by when I didn’t think about you
I thought about all of the stuff that I had put you through
You never once deserved all of the bad things that I did
Looking back on it now, I was acting like such a little kid.
I’m so glad I had a friend like you who was always there
It made me feel good, like someone actually cared.
No matter what my problems were you wanted to know
There were so many bottled up inside it was hard to let them go.
I could never wish for a better friend than the one you were to me
I just wish I could have been there for you as much as you were for me.
There are no words in the world that could tell you how I feel
You just made me feel so special and you were just so real.
I just want to say thank you the only way I know how.
In a poem just for you I really hope you know now.
That I love you forever and always will
Its been so long since I’ve seen you, we need some time to chill.
