You Only Like Me For The Money, Honey Poem by Hebert Logerie

You Only Like Me For The Money, Honey

You only like me for the money, honey
But you don't love me unconditionally
You like me for the job, the cars and the house
I'm ashamed to say that you're a hungry mouse
You like me because I make you comfortable
You like me because I put food on the table
I am not too happy of the veracity of your actions
I am the one who loves you not for transactions
But with incredible passion and immeasurable love
The sky is blue. The clouds are passing by. Look above
Stare at the heaven, I bet you cannot tell me truthfully
And honestly what you have in your heart for my soul
Say something. Tell me a few lies. Honey, I'm not a fool
I fully understand what's going on. I know everything
It hurts but I am strong I can deal with this crazy thing
You don't love me. You barely like me. I have proof, honey
I'm the clown who loves you with all my heart unconditionally.
