Your Beast Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Your Beast

I don't require or demand,
You love me.
Neither do I,
Request you act as if you do.
I don't expect you,
You hold onto me tight.
When we make love,
From Sun up to midnight.

Just let me know,
If you rather get out of bed.
Just let me know,
If you rather do...
Something else instead.
Just let me know,
You would like some time...
To yourself.
And I will do the best I can,
To understand.
Just let me know,
You think of me as greedy.
Comeon and let me know,
You think my appetite is...
Over needy.
And I will do the best I can,
To try to understand...

You believe me to be a beast!
I admit that I am.
You believe me to be a beast.
I admit that I am.
You believe me to be a beast.
Your beast.
I am.
You believe me to be a beast!
