Your Day Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

Your Day

I imagine you dressing
and wonder what you wear
and how you're feeling today
and how you brush and fix your hair
I wonder what you had for breakfast
and wish I could sit and watch you eat
Do you like eggs and bacon?
or some tea and toast with jelly sweet
I picture you at a table
but the room is just a blur
I know you're there with a little one
and imagine you attending to her
what a pretty picture I have in my head
it makes me smile and think of the kind things
I've felt underneath everything you've ever said
I imagine that you finish dressing
and take one last look in the mirror
If I was it I'd kiss your image and softly say
Looking Good Angel....have a nice day!
Oh how much I wish I could be the one
to send you of onto your each day
I think of you this way
