'Your Legacy' Poem by Linda Winchell

'Your Legacy'

Rating: 2.6

What dear friend will your legacy be?
Will it become a tabloid headline,
For all our world to read?

Will it make a possitive difference of worlds view?
Or will it be what negatively now, was created by you?

Will this cancer breed to others' nearest to you?
Of Uncle or Brother-in-law or your young Nephew?

Will they become imprisoned, caged like an endangered bird?
Will their lives have been meaningless?
Of an inner goodness never heard?

Think twice before you leap,
For the price is too high.
Of the legacy you leave,
In anothers heart and their eyes.
