There's always song stuck in my head.
Every single second of my life.
Stuck in a moment.
Stuck as life is passing on me by.
Never stopping to think about why.
Is he damaged, is he broken.
Is he really the monster your making him out be.
I still remember, I still remember all those lies.
You chose to antagonise.
You chose to fight even though it was never right.
A broken up child hood.
Still trying to fit all the pieces together.
Still trying to make sense of your regrets.
Your penance to the world.
We grew up on opposite side of tracks.
You were barely a blip on my radar.
I still don't quite understand probably never will.
But I'm here to tell you nothing is owed for your perceived wrongs.
Blood is thicker then water, you don't have to tell me, I already know.
You will do anything for family no matter how wrong they are.
It's a understandable given.
I'm still seeing the ghosts of who I use to be.
Why should this be any different.
I stand on my own, no help needed.
But thanks for the offer.
I shelter no blame.
The life I chose is my responsibility not yours.
Yes my heart is a little cold but that happened way further down road.
I harbor my own regrets.
And they are not even close to being related.
So don't feel sorry for me.
Not in the least.
There nothing you did when we were kids that comes even close to needing to forgive.
So be at peace with it.
Because I already am and moved on a very long time ago.
