Your Phenomenal Self Poem by Dave Dafes

Your Phenomenal Self

Rating: 0.5

I watched,
Helplessly,
As It broke my heart
My heart,
My life,
My dreams,
It's smoldered flames so, so cold
Cold, as cruel fingers
Of icy winter killed,
Killed dead, all It's great in me
Me's ashes, turns to dust,

But it's embers burn,
Kindled, when you gave a gift,
A gift, your precious heart,
A heart, beaming with sacred life,
A life, of restored dreams
Dreams, that burns with fire
A 🔥 fire, that illuminates with love,
A love, spew'd abroad all hearts

This, you gifted me to keep,
To keep, your awesomely pure soul,
A soul, that kindled hope,
Hope, ablaze reborn,
Reborn, all that's dead in me,
In me, burns with fervent light
A light, that keeps at bay
At bay, all darkness fled

All by a gift you gave,
Gave me, your phenomenal self
A self I treasured most
Mostly, that I may live again,
Again, a chance at life,
A life, when you restored all
All, that died in me.

But it's embers burn, / Kindled, when you gave a gift, / A gift, your precious heart, / A heart, beaming with sacred life, / A life, of restored dreams / / dreams, that burns with fire / A 🔥 fire, that illuminates with love, / A love, spew'd abroad all hearts====== I found it poetic and rhythmic how the last word became the first word of the following line. Well done!
