Zombies Snapped Awakened Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Zombies Snapped Awakened

Come together they will and do.
As if zoombies snapped awakened,
From a deep and addictive...
Test treated hypnosis.
That,
For whatever the reason...
Completely malfunctioned.
Stunning those running,
Horrified in fear.
"Run! ", they scream.
"OUR scheme to end diversity,
Is not as effective as meant to be! "

Coming together.
And putting their differences aside.
Those of textured races mixed.
Representing various places.
Isolated to perform,
Upon each other...
The most wicked of deeds.
Injustices, division.
Increasingly fed,
Treats feeding racism.

Chasing away,
Culprits creating...
Programs monitored to inflict,
Their sickened mental disease to wish...
Would leave them the benefactors,
Of their evilness predicted.
Yet...
Nothing can prevent,
Those selected to be tested...
As zombies to rule over and control.
From being snapped out of a hypnosis.
That would have left them,
Doing what they were told.
To see themselves,
Craving defeat and self destruction.

-HOW COULD WE ALLOW YOU,
TO DO THIS To US? -
They chant as if,
Appetizing the taste...
For diseased deceivers and leeching thieves.
HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO US.
They chant and chase.
With hot sauce in their hands.
Anticipating the taste.
And waving above their heads,
Donated homemade Coco bread.
Sent specifically for this event,
From Jamaica! -
