Sing the blues
Because it's not
What I'd choose

The day is getting close
When I go under the knife
Right now my only concern
Is that it all turns out right

The pitcher throws
The batter swings
It flies into the night
Like the ball had wings

I sit and watch the leaves
As they dance about in the breeze
They seem to move so freely
With such grace and ease

Lying all alone
In a convalescent home
Spends his days and nights
Empty and alone
