Waiting For Springs Return Poem by Ray Hansell

Waiting For Springs Return

Rating: 5.0

I sit and watch the leaves
As they dance about in the breeze
They seem to move so freely
With such grace and ease

Slowly they start falling
Drifting to the ground
Soon all branches will be naked
With no leaves to be found

The tree stands bare all winter
As the stormy months appear
No snow here in these parts
The falling rain is all we'll hear

But when spring returns again
Tiny buds will begin to sprout
Then shortly thereafter
Leaves will appear all about

It's the sign that winter
Is finally going away
From this moment on
Sun, will be the order of the day
