Emotions know by only God and us

Westward we head
In search of surf and sun
We ran faster
Stretched further

In a world where 2+2=5,
Ignorance is bliss and I know nothing.
I do what I’m told and I’m told what to do.
I don’t cry. I don’t laugh. To feel nothing is a gift.

The snow is soft and the mountains high.
I climb with my newly met brothers into the sky.
So high are we, a whole world lies below us.
The skis are heavy, its my cross to bear.

When the past is long forgotten
And I gaze upon her now
She shares the softest smile
Recounting unmade memories

So I’ve been used
And occasionally abused
But her kisses bring me back
And sometimes leave marks
...

I sat watching the river flow past thinking of
How lucky a brook, to forget with each current
The waves held between its banks
But my conscience has never been so blessed
...

She’s just like countless others
Except I’ve known her lips
But to them I shall never return
Soft as they were, they want me no more
