Something so sweet which can bring so much happiness and smiles...
and something so sour which can bring so much sorrow and tears....
It’s given to us at our different ages of maturity...
“Love’s First Kiss”
...

It’s cleansing...
As it runs down my face, I feel renewed, cleaned, different...
As the others run for cover, I stay.
I look up to the sky as if trying to collect every dropp of water in my pores, like a bucket, or hole in the earth...
...

I’ve taken care of it..
I’ve cleaned up the mess
I’ve picked up the pieces of my heart
I’ve thrown out the trash
...

If I could protect you all the time from both physical and emotional pain, and drama, I would.
If I could tell what and how you are feeling, I’d care for you.
If I could help with every problem, I would.
If I could talk to you all the time, I would.
...

If only I was the light that guided you through the dark tunnel called life.
If only I was the reason you kept following through with your goals and dreams especially the hard ones.
If only if only...
If only I was the person you called late at night just to ask how I was doing and what I was up to.
...

A friend...
One who is always there for you...
one who deals with you during your worst moments...
one who shares everything with you from a snack and secrets to an injury and the cold...
...

They say adolencese is the time in our lives where we “change”, mentally, and physically.
They say we’re learning how to be adults, and how to be our own person.
They say if we have any questions, or need any help, to go to them.
After telling us that, they left us, to fend for ourselves, and learn for ourselves.
...

Why did you do all that to me?
Why did you get my BFF and I in to a fight?
Had I made you mad, or were you just jealous, I will never know.
For a couple of months I had no true person to talk to, who would understand where I was coming from…
...

It started with a “Hey” and a smile
and blossomed into...
passing notes, talking on the phone for hours, speaking in code and calling each other code names and much more.
As it went on it grew and stopped for awhile, then started to grow again...
...

I look at you...there you are across the “sea” life.
It’s not I don’t want to get to know you, but...
I’m afraid...
to get hurt...
...

My roses were black
unliving
dead.
But then you came to me.

Friendship comes in many different shapes, for different people.
It can be wild, and free...like an animal.
It can be calm, but beautiful...like a creek.
It can be deep, with emotion...like a poem, book, or letter.
...

He said I was his close friend.
He asked me to the dance and the movies.
At the dance, we danced, and got closer.
At the movies, we watched, and got closer.
...

It’s the last day of school.
We stay in our homerooms...
There’s...
laughter

Love's First Kiss

Something so sweet which can bring so much happiness and smiles...
and something so sour which can bring so much sorrow and tears....
It’s given to us at our different ages of maturity...
“Love’s First Kiss”
“She stands there nervous, wondering, “Where will I put my arms, what happens to my nose, where does it go? ” she thinks as she stands there looking at him. Without a sign or a blink of the eye, he lands his lips on hers. As if there is nothing to end the moment, she wraps he arms around his neck. After what seems like 3 glorious minutes she thinks for a moment how will I breathe, but immediately that thought vanishes when they both just breathe in each other’s breath. “How glorious! ” she thinks, until he starts to pull away.”
