There were voices in my head
That told me I shouldn't be alive
That I shouldn't have the chance

Many times, I pretend I'm okay
Smiling at friends so they go away
Maybe I'm two-faced, maybe I'm not
But my feelings and thoughts are all that I've got

The world has been corrupted with pain
Trying to get ahead, attempting to gain
We push others down, make them feel like they're less
Because, if they're not, we are powerless

Without a tear,
I would be happy.
Without a tear,
I would be normal.

Practice makes perfect,
That's what they say.
But can I be perfect,
In my own way?

Gray sky,
Quiet birds,
Hearts die,
Hateful words.

If I were ever happy,
It would certainly be a dream,
For I cry a tear every minute,
