Wars Against Society Poem by Elizabeth Jackson

Wars Against Society

Freedom cannot be meant to be passed
For freedom determines what cannot last
Freedom is taken day by day
Until our world is taken away

An eye for an eye
A kiss on the cheek
This type of war
Is not for the meek

The world is cruel, it takes your all
And you determine if you win or fall
Life is a game, living - a choice
But no one can live if they've lost their voice
