Frankie Renae Poems

I'm wide awake and so alive
Ringing like a bell
Tell me this is paradise
And not someplace I fell
...

It seems like he's got nothing
too much going on in his life
right now.
He sleeps on the porch swing,
...

blaring soft spoken acoustic
one bit of uncalled honesty after another
and I imagine you
in all the overused words I use
...

Sometimes we just need the people we love to hold us
Maybe that's what this is
I know it's sure different than his
Feelings in me
...

Past the tar lines, green signs, and truer trees
Working toward you in 85 east breeze
I counted miles down, the last 56
To the 40-some hours I'll never forget
...

You feel in silence
You know that second
Where just for a moment
Everything is alright
...

I'd like you to hold me
like the ground holds our feet
when I'm not with you
when I'm with you
...

Just your wife
It wasn't supposed to go this way
Close my eyes
But this won't go away
...

Chorus:
You are 13 of 14 angels
got all them angles carried up
if the last one is me
...

there's a million angels that live in this town
so how did I find you; my feet can't touch the ground
I'm swimmin in your love
like all your emotions that fall from above
...

somewhere over the expanse of years
lies a time I just can't seem to fear
so many hopes, so many dreams
so many promises, so few tears at the seams
...

I dropped her heart on the sidewalk
walked around the block to pick it up
but it was gone
and when I looked again
...

like missing him
or the stars or gravel
but today
I cried for someone
...

He lays on the phone, okay
with the silence
walks next to me, okay
with conversation's absence
...

And yet there you stand
180 days later
200 thoughts greater
So much more than friends
...

i called you the sea, we have tried and failed that many times
but sometimes in my prayers, guilt and scared, this love makes sense and i can't stop
the thinking and the thinking lines:
...

I saw you running twice that day
After you told me you died the first time
Fell apart when he said maybe you were
going over again
...

lightning shines
when the trees of karma crack
and there are roots
I'm sure you watch the stars
...

We became American

You came here in your refuge
You sat Indian style
...

Maybe we were laying on the couch
But I swear we were dancing
In the middle of the livingroom
In your beautiful clothing
...

Frankie Renae Biography

Hey! I'm 19, sophomore in college. I have 3 little sisters and a younger brother. I live with my love, boyfriend, and best friend, Nathey, here in Lincoln. We have a pretty nice loft & two beautiful fish, Spaz and Sprite. (3 more on the way) . =) I am an elementary ed major and as of this week, I'm also thinking about majoring in psychology. I want to be a teacher and maybe a counselor. You can check out a more complete bio and polished set of lyrics at my site: www.uber.com/joshurenae. And for any gamers out there, I play WOW. Dentarg, Xinnagers. But really, mostly Nathey plays for me. I also have two wonderful sisters, Nicole and Sara, of course, not biological. And Sara made me a nephew, Dustin Edward. What a cutie! Jesus loves you! You're welcome to come to church with me if you're in the area and need a friend. I like our church because it applies to life. I just want to be a better person... and maybe save a piece of the world, too. Average life expectancy in 50 years, is projected at 115. I say, go for the gold! =D)

The Best Poem Of Frankie Renae

Car Crash By Matt Nathanson

I'm wide awake and so alive
Ringing like a bell
Tell me this is paradise
And not someplace I fell
'Cause I keep on fallin' down

I wanna feel the car crash
I wanna feel it capsize
I wanna feel a bomb drop, the earth stop
'Til I'm satisfied
I wanna feel the car crash
'Cause I'm dyin' on the inside
I wanna let go and know
That I'll be alright, alright

Just push me 'til I have to fly
I've shed my skin, my scars
Take me deep out past the lights
Where nothing dims these stars
Nothing dims these stars

I wanna feel the car crash
I wanna feel it capsize
I wanna feel a bomb drop, the earth stop
'Til I'm satisfied
I wanna feel the car crash
'Cause I'm dyin' on the inside
I wanna let go and know
That I'll be alright, alright

So right
It's all wrong

I'm wide awake and so alive

I wanna feel the car crash
I wanna feel it capsize
I wanna feel a bomb drop, the earth stop
'Til I'm satisfied
I wanna feel the car crash
'Cause I'm dyin' on the inside
I wanna let go and know
That I'll be alright, alright
