Seething under a single ray of light.
Scraping the skin from my bones
and disemboweling my virtue
until gratitude is dissolving in the currents.

let it fall
with the gravity you thought you knew
fall until you don't

you can have it, its no longer mine
its been stained and slashed to oblivion
deformed beyond recognition.

Losing a love is losing each and every love

Within that moment, when the glass drops
and the crystal breaks

They're all the same
They stalk you and fill you up
Until you're cold and wet
Or warm and dry
...

I stand on the edge of the ocean
and call your name
My heart to yours

The distance evaporates with each inhale
and each exhale bring us closer
...

The love never really goes away,
It just moves and transfers.
it's buried under manuscripts of heartache,
Gets forgotten under laundry lists
...

I stand by you Grandfather
in solidarity.
200 years or maybe a minute
you've dug your roots in deep.

Slipping under a concrete slab
