Never Dies Poem by Isak Boyd

Never Dies

The love never really goes away,
It just moves and transfers.
it's buried under manuscripts of heartache,
Gets forgotten under laundry lists
and today's to-do notes.
Piled beneath a library of other memories
deep in the bowels of your subconsious.

Just like your eye-color or the shape of your chin
its part of us.
We relive it again across our dreams
or in other worlds and dimensions.

We never failed,
please don't let them tell you that.
How can we have failed?
We lived amongst each other like wolves under the moon.
I know you in a way no one else could and you know me.
Our love, that cojoining of two souls, never dies.
