fair skin, shine of a peach
drape with corn whiskers
from summer green field
swift teeth of a comb
brush; straightened tangles
sudden movements expose
full view, gaping lips near
dry throat contracts to a sound
so soft nobody could hear
it happened in a flash
painted in mind’s landscape
