022. Some Time Alone Poem by Jaden Knight

022. Some Time Alone

Rating: 5.0

I sit on a cold hard bed
staring at nothing
the room’s four walls
seem like a prison

The cold damp walls
send shivers down my back
my mind is stripped
leaving my bare thoughts

Oh to be free of this
to run away from fear
losing all my worries
like a shower of rain

I get up from the bed
my mind is clear again
sunk by all my worries
like a sunken ship

Loosing all my worries like a shower of rain. I love those two lines. Thank you.

Can I just say, this is pure genius! I love your use of language in these two verses: The cold damp walls send shivers down my back my mind is stripped leaving my bare thoughts Oh to be free of this to run away from fear losing all my worries like a shower of rain The idea of running away from fear? I love it lol Also I love the stripped mind = bare thoughts concept. Really I'm at a loss of words for how i should explain my reasons for liking this one so much. Anyhow, its a great write! ~ ~Nika
