starch uniformed guards were gone
sealed opening to neighboring land
barb wires with sharp blades taunting
my thin skin; hungry for blood boiling
sand bags piled up high now leaking
pick on by sharp beaks hungry looking
signs unreadable some peeling away
so quiet besides rushes of bursting wind
carrying light debris; pushing empty can
yes, it's so fast how everything changes
you could be enjoying then sudden stop
you're moving away; it's all over; it's wrap
