a glimpse of within a butterfly
came to a sight to a human
could be yellow, those flying
by my yard when spring comes
never get tired, keeps on going
til tips of their wings worn out
fallen angels cling to straw
a tight grip of life won't let go
an instinct grasp til last breathe
let wind and rain do the rest
if a lucky ants stumble on to one
nibble legs and take home some
i saw faded wings on ground
once mighty has come down
slowly pulverizing to tiny dust
reminder those dragging feet
forcing themselves to look fit
end is coming, pay your regret
