032610j People From The Depth

flickering wick by sea
slave ensuing breeze
braving moonlight
barefoot to step
pursing lips to fear
hollow eyed glare

shadow flush out
from ocean depth
dark as catfish
shiny as nail polish
nobody is talking
they come for tonic

leave silently
just as they came
without a name
they will come back
with more to give
in exchange for food
