scorching heat from overhead
parasols too shy show but hats
strolling casually by seashore
with shorts, sneakers and phone
fearful to be out of touch from
widened gaps between minds
dairy queen would make sales
sugar hungry taste bud prevails
so as the kids convince parents
water companies do overtime
pushing those trucks to town
hydrate my friends then good time
