041111a I'Ll Stay Home

i muster all my strength to sign
my checkbook to pay uncle sam
a sum enough to buy me an old
car or trip to europe for two weeks
or somewhere west of pacific
to enjoy white sands and tropic

i stay home go to beach populated
with blue crabs; thick sea weeds
galls are up there waiting for crumbs
forest is full of ticks, ants, blood flies
i love birds though sing all day long
admiring their lovely feathers like song
